OUR FAMILY STORY
Jack and Judi Beedham opened the doors in the current location almost 40 years ago, since then Jack Beedham’s Exhaust has been regarded as a Redcliffe landmark. Not only would local people bring cars in for replacement or performance exhausts, but vehicles would also be transported from all over the country to be fitted with a custom Jack Beedham’s Exhaust whether it be a concourse system to your labour of love or a free-flowing high performance system for your street machine, Jack always had the right option, most famously supporting Victor Bray’s Castrol 57 Chev door slammer in the 80’s. With all this knowledge available the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, anyone who knows Jack, knows his son Bobbie who was always working side by side with his father and learning everything there is to know about the trade.
During this time Bobbie, carried out his mechanical apprenticeship as well as working along his father. Being Ford fanatics, they are also long-term members of the Mustang Club of Australia, as well as the Ford GT Car Club and with this, have become synonymous in all car club circles for not only expansive knowledge, but high-quality work and value for money. While doing exhaust and minor mechanical repairs for years, with natural progression the business added a full mechanical workshop, catering for all aspects of automotive mechanical repairs, logbook servicing and also includes a fully equipped wheel aligning and tyre fitting facility. This is how it operates to this day servicing upwards of 15 vehicles daily.
It came time July 2019, when Jack and Judi decided to step back and enjoy their glory years, it was only natural that Bobbie and wife Zoe would purchase the business from Jack and Judi and keep the institution alive and well for many years to come. The transition was completely seamless as many of the current staff have been with the business over 10 years, some even over 20 years and share the same passion as Bobbie and Zoe to service the local area, and keep the business moving forward into the future. With the energetic addition of Bobbie’s daughter to the team recently, it seems the Beedham blood line is set to stay in the Redcliffe area for many more years to come...
